Linkin Park es una banda estadounidense de rock, procedente de Agoura Hills, Los Ángeles, California, formada en 1996, integrada por Chester Bennington (voz), Mike Shinoda (voz, teclado y guitarra), Dave Farrell (Bajo), Joe Hahn (sintetizador y sampler), Brad Delson (guitarra) y Rob Bourdon (batería).

La banda experimentó el éxito internacional con el lanzamiento de su álbum debut, sin embargo en sus primeros años se vieron en una serie de dificultades debido a que ningún sello mostró interés en su trabajo, lo cual ocasionó la salida de su primer vocalista.2 Más adelante realizando su primera presentación en un club de Los Ángeles respaldados por Jeff Blue, y Chester Bennington como voz principal, el grupo fue bien recibido por el público y esta aceptación convenció al sello discográfico Warner Bros. Records y en colaboración con el productor Don Gilmore publicaron Hybrid Theory.4 Hasta la fecha siendo su disco más exitoso con 24 millones de copias vendidas en el mundo además de ser certificado Diamante por la RIAA en 2005 y multiplatino en varios países, aunado a ello convirtiéndose en uno de los álbumes más vendidos del siglo XXI.5 6 Su siguiente álbum de estudio, Meteora, continuó el éxito del grupo, logrando encabezar la lista de Billboard 200 Album Chart en el año 2003.7 8 En ese año MTV2 nombró a Linkin Park la sexta Mejor banda en la era del vídeo musical y la tercera Mejor banda del nuevo milenio detrás de Oasis y Coldplay,8 9 10 y Billboard la ubicó en el puesto 19 de los mejores artistas de la década.11 El nombre es un juego de palabras haciendo referencia al Lincoln Park en Santa Mónica.
